1920’es style wedding at Raasay

Katie’s ideas to have a wedding with inspiration from the 1920s and held at the amazing Raasay, a small island off the Isle of Skye, came true. Katie had spent time on the island previously with her now husband and they fell in love with the place. It was not the easiest place to organise a wedding from Edinburgh, but it all fell into place and certainly showed it was worth it. Bridesmaids in light pink and champagne lace

Was delighted to be asked to make 6 bridesmaids dresses for Kathryn’s beautiful wedding. The wedding had soft pinks and neutral colours and the styling was soft, romantic and sophisticated. The design was such a challenge, as 2 of the bridesmaids were pregnant, and we wanted a style which suited them all equally well. We ended up with a silk marocain dress in very pale pink with champagne lace overlay on the bodice, and buttons and loops at the back, a little train and scallop lace edgings on all the lace.
