Short beaded lace wedding dress

A simple Short beaded lace Wedding dress in silk with lace overlay. The lace has a floral pattern and embellished with beads and sequins. The cut and style suits Joanna’s tiny frame. We made a structured boned and bodice with internal lace-up. Then added the lace overlay, and finished it off with lace details made by hand. The Scalloped edges on the waist and neckline we make by hand. When we work in embellished lace we always have to remove the beads and sequins over the seams, as these cant go into the sewing machine. then we add them back…

Classic Wedding dress for Glen Tanar Wedding Caroline has been in my extended circle of friends for as long as I remember. Therefore, it’s as a real honour to be asked to design and make her wedding dress for her. Caroline wanted a modern take on the Classic Wedding Dress, with a strapless full skirt, so that’s what we made her. The dress is based on a Duchesse satin bodice and a full tulle skirt.
