Touch of Tartan

Touch of Tartan was the theme of this stunning wedding. We love a challenge and Claire asked us to make her a bespoke wedding jumpsuit. We both wanted a contemporary look with the trousers, but also retain traditional elements, of a traditional wedding dress.  And then, we wanted the tartan, but just a touch of it. Soft Mermaid Wedding Dress, is how I would describe Eilidh’s dress. But there is much more to it! Eilidh had different ideas when we first met to discuss dress. She wanted a bespoke dress with a specific neckline and long big fan out train and very pale ivory colour. But she had specific requirements too, as she was getting married in France at the height of summer and really didn’t want to be too hot. Crisp silk wedding dress for a beautiful May Bride. The classic dresses from the 50es are the inspiration for this bride’s stylish outfit. Hannah’s dress made in beautiful bespoke Ivory Dupion silk, a big Box Pleated skirt with a boned bodice and SweetHeart neckline. The dress fastened on the back with silk buttons and loops. We made Hannah 2 different belts, one for the daytime in silk and a little buckle. In the evening she went all out and had a wide crystal embellished crystal belt.
