Millions of pearls

Millions of pearls decorated this beautiful wedding dress for Annmarie. We made a stunning bodice with the embellishment of all the tiny little pearls on a satin fabric. You may not know when we work in heavily embellished fabrics, you may not know, but we need to strip the material entirely of all the embellishment on all seams and then add them again to cover the seam. Quite a bit of work goes into that, as you can imagine.

The skirt was a Duchesse satin skirt with a tulle overlay creating a beautiful train at the back.

We loved working with Annmarie. I am so honoured she travelled from Ireland to come and see us for her wedding dress. She had the most lovely ideas for her wedding day in Ireland, and her (love of pink and) beautiful things made it so easy to work with her.

Annmarie had an amazing headdress made by milliner Aoife Kirwan.

The couple married in St. John’s Church, Dromagh, Co. Cork and then on to Rochestown Park Hotel, Cork, for the reception. The photo session was at beautiful Drishane Castle.

She brought her lovely mum for her dress visits, and we also kitted her out in a beautiful pink dress and cape. Her outfit was made in pure silk crepe and had a pure silk organza train.

Annmarie has such a busy schedule with working full time; she tours the world and sings with the most beautiful voice. She has a vast repertoire singing Irish folk music, has released several records, and made music releases for cancer charities. We can’t wait to follow her career in the future.

It was a happy wedding to be part of, and we are so excited to share the photographs with you.

Thank you so much to William from Healey & Rimmington for taking lovely photographs on the day.
