Wedding Dress Design in steely pink lace

The perfect wedding dress design, as described by Clarissa, all ideas she had created in her head, gave us some very good starting points to create a truly bespoke coloured wedding dress.

We went on a big hunt for materials once decided, we couldn’t wait to get started!. A dusky lavender dress in a timeless style, to be worn in a Victorian Hunting lodge near Braemar.

While choosing design details, such as the extremely flattering on bateau neckline, three-quarter-length sleeves,  Clarissa knew it was a wedding dress design she would feel beautiful in, furthermore would fit her design brief for the hunting lodge wedding theme.

Making the dress was made up of a beautiful steely pink satin chiffon and crepe and mink coloured Chantilly lace was such a dream.  A belt with a silk rose and feather detailing,  was designed and added and bead-work was applied by hand, linking up with Clarissa and Pauls idea of Flies (for flyfishing on the Dee)

The dress with all the classic style and the details of a traditional wedding dress, but made in the gorgeous unique colour, added a unique and individual touch to this Highland Wedding.

Linden Flowers created a lovely hairpin for Clarissa to wear, which featured a sample of the lace from her wedding dress and perfectly complemented her look.

Just to avoid getting cold in the evening, we made a faux fur jacket with lovely silk lining for to wear for the cold night.

The wedding was inspired by vintage glamour, historic places, wildlife and the colours of the Grampions in August.

Adding  DIY elements to their wedding gave some personal touches to their wedding, they made confetti cones, designed their very own stationary and customised grosgrain ribbons.

Nicholas Frost Photography took the beautiful photographs I love how he made Clarissa and Paul go on an  adventure, and  Hays Flowers created the stunning bouquets and flower arrangements and the pretty little cakes were made by Shona Sutherland of Taystful!
