Country wedding at Tynningham Town Hall with close friends

The Groom Ian, has been a close friend of mine for many many years. I was delighted when he met Margaret, and romantically proposed to her on the finish line of the The Kiltwalk.

The Groom Ian, has been a close friend of mine for many many years. I was delighted when he met Margaret, and romantically proposed to her on the finish line of the Kiltwalk, Margaret said: YES.

Even better was it when the bride came to get her dress from me, as Margaret said: “Ian had chosen where to get the wedding dress for me even before he proposed”

I was delighted to work with Margaret. She went for a sweet heart neckline dress in Orissa silk in the colour called Pearl. She had a Guipure lace jacket over, which ties in a big bow at the back.

The wedding was everything you could wish for, a nice summers day for outdoors ceremony, friends and family in one place, rustic benches and lovely flowers and table settings, hog roast, lots of cakes, ceilidh dancing, ice cream van.

It was just such a fab day.

Ian and Margaret are both very creative souls, Ian has his own building company Gets It Done and he works in wood and had turned wooden quaichs for all guests, Margaret is an artist and had drawn the blue bird design which has great significance in their lives and she also got her blue birds tattooed for the wedding.

If you would like to see Margarets art, she exhibits in different places, look out for her work by signing up for her facebook account “Garter
