Crisp silk wedding dress for a beautiful May Bride.
The classic silk wedding dresses from the 50es is the inspiration for this bride’s stylish outfit.
We made Hannah’s crisp silk wedding dress in beautiful Ivory Dupion silk. We made the skirt with a big Box Pleated skirt with a boned bodice and SweetHeart neckline. The dress fastened on the back with silk buttons and loops.
We made Hannah 2 different belts, one for the daytime in silk with and a little buckle. In the evening she went all out and had a wide crystal embellished crystal belt.
I am an absolute fan of all those dresses inspired by 1950es dresses. Christian Dior’s New Look was such a big thing after the 2nd world war. It had a huge influence on fashion in the following years. For so long the fashion had had no fabric to work with because of rations. So the feel of optimism from the New Look was amazing for everybody to experience.
The couple had a humanistic ceremony conducted by Tim Maguire . Tim conducts ceremonies for Freja Brides on a very regular basis and has done for many years.
The wedding reception held in the Radisson Collection Hotel.
