“Mette,Mette and her team created a bespoke red wedding dress based on my specific vision. From day one, it was a pleasure to work with Mette – she was not only super excited and supportive of a non-traditional wedding dress but brought her expertise to my ideas to create an outstanding design. During fittings, she was very engaged and easily interpreted what I felt worked, what didn’t and how to fix things. This gave me great confidence that Mette understood my vision and my shape. I work overseas, so opportunities for looking at fabric samples and doing fittings were tight (I am also very thorough in my deliberations..!), but Mette was incredibly patient with me. From waiting for fabric deliveries to reach me on another continent to very last-minute alterations, Mette created an environment that allowed me to be honest and explore options – a quality which is arguably even more valuable than her excellent couture skills. The best example of this is after I lost some weight and had been slow to realise one element of the fit which didn’t work for me: I ended up requesting an alteration in a 24-hour window between my and Mette’s respective travels 4 days before the wedding. She accommodated these expertly and positively, which took a huge weight off my mind, freeing me to get excited for the day and feel great about my dress. Communication with Mette was excellent throughout, and the dress is beautifully crafted, with lots of thoughtful details to make it practical as well. I am in love with my final product. I cannot recommend Mette and her wonderful team enough.
