Micro Wedding at Oran Mor

Jasmine, like many other brides had to alter her plans in accordance with the lockdown. Due to guidelines Jasmine couldn’t have the wedding she originally had planned. But eager to marry, herself and her groom decided to downsize to a Micro Wedding at Oran Mor. A change of plans doesn’t mean Jasmine and her husband to be, David didn’t make the most of the event. On the 21st of October they surrounded themselves with 20 of their closest friends and family.

In accordance to guidelines Jasmine and her bridal party had to do their own makeup, with a friend doing the brides hair. The groom and his best man wore kilts produced by 21st Century Kilts.

Worrying about how to fill the day at a distance, led Jasmine and David to book an open top Glasgow city Bus Tour. Fittingly, recreating one of the couples first dates. The outing saw the party board the bus, with packed lunches, mini bottles of Prosecco and tins of beer. Although, the weather was dreadful, witnessing the couple, on an open top bus in the rain, definitely made for an unforgettable day.

Welcome drinks greeted the guests on their return. The ceremony and socially distanced meal followed. The biggest surprise of the day was the newly weds getting to have their first dance privately. The Oran Mor concert hall, was decorated with sparkling fairy-lights to make the moment as special as ever.

Jasmines flower bouquet was produced by the Artisan Dried Flower Co, meaning the flowers would last for ever and could be kept as a keepsake. The flowers were also the same green colour as the brides dress and the overall theme of the party.

All About the Wedding Dress

Jasmine had always wanted to wear a green wedding dress as it was her favourite colour. This dream came true at here Oran More micro wedding. She walked the aisle in a silk chiffon pistachio dress with a silk satin belt, cuffs and buttons. The gown was decorated with gold beaded and sequinned embellishments on the shoulder and waste.

Jasmine says she loved her wedding dress and said it suited her well. Especially when she styled it with her light-up heels.
