Mother of the Bride Outfit

At Freja Designer Dressmaking we cater to all. With our dresses, we offer a personalised design process to ensure you get exactly what you want. And the experience for the mother of the bride’s outfit is no different. It is a special day when your child gets married. Being able to experience it stress-free and feeling your best is our main priority. Throughout the process of making your dress, we ensure it will be as smooth as possible to make you feel and look your best in your outfit.

First of all, we will have a meeting where we can discuss colours, cut, styles and fabrics. This can be done over zoom or in person. Secondly, after we have decided on the design and a deposit is put down we will then make a trail of your dress. Ensuring it has the perfect fit. After that, we will then make your dress in the real fabric. So you can see how it will feel on the day. We will also make final adjustments to the dress and any alterations needed. And finally, your outfit will be ready for the final payment and collection. Ready for your special day.

The choice of a traditional or modern design is completely up to you. Our bespoke service means that your outfit can be catered to match the wedding theme, complement the wedding colour palette, and be your own style. Whether you want a dress, jacket or suit, we have done it all. These are some of our lovely client’s outfits that we have done and may give you some ideas of your own.

Royal Blue Jacket

Starting off with this stunning blue outfit we made. The colours look beautiful on this mother of the groom and the whole outfit looks great together.

Duck Egg Blue Dress

This duck egg blue dress is one of my favourites. The pearl details give the outfit that bit of extra glam. 

Tunic Dress

Similarly, this beautiful tunic style dress is another one of our favourites! The beautiful floral silk looks great with the sequins around the edges. Accompanied by a matching facemask which helps bring the whole outfit together.

Green Silk Dress

Another beautiful mother of the bride dress is this gorgeous green silk dress. Wearing it to a lovely sunny summer wedding.

Teal Dress

This lovely bride and her mother both had designs made by us. This mother’s dress is made from a teal silk crepe fabric. Worn beautifully with her hat from Elegance in Perth. And photographed by Amy Sinead.

Pink Floral Dress

This pink floral dress is another one of my favourites. Also being styled perfectly with accessories to match the beautiful pink colour.

The Yellow Suit

This suit is not the typical mother of the bride outfit. But we love it. It specifically suits Hazels personality and made her feel comfortable and at ease at her son’s wedding.

Silk Dress and Jacket

Making this pure silk dress, with a matching silk jacket was a delight. The differing silk on the collar and cuff makes the jacket pop and looks lovely on this mother. The beautiful headdress was made by Bridget Webster. And they were photographed by Iain Struthers.

Coral Dress

Long time client Jane, looks stunning in this eye-catching coral dress. With matching coral fastenings on her hat made by Alex Muir.

Teal Three-piece

This teal three-piece set we made looks lovely on this mother of the bride. The textured silk looks great with the halo style headdress from Alex Muir once again.

Pink Dress

The pink on the dress with the darker lace accents look amazing together. Worn beautifully for her daughter’s wedding. And accompanied by another Alex Muir hat.

Lace Dress

This rose dress with a silk lace overlay looks gorgeous. The mother of the bride travelled very far for the dress to be worn at her daughter’s wedding. Most importantly we are just happy they made it despite the restrictions!

Wool Crepe Dress

This mother of the groom dress was made from a gorgeous wool crepe. With embellishments of ostrich feathers and crystals. Also a bow to add the finishing touch.

Royal Blue Dress

This stunning royal blue dress looks gorgeous on a sunny day. Additionally, the lace and beaded details help give the outfit a bit of sparkle.

Douppion Silk Dress

The dress and jacket worn by Anna for her daughter’s wedding in Ireland were gorgeous. The douppion silk and lace embellishments were gorgeous on the dress. And a mask was made to match perfectly.

Green Velvet Dress

The gorgeous dark green velvet on this dress looks stunning with crystal trim and feathers. Also perfect for an autumn wedding.

Blue Jacket and Bag

The jacket and bag were made for a mother of the groom in a beautiful blue fabric. And they match so perfectly together.

This mother of the bride dress and jacket pair together perfectly. And the blue lace detail on the top of the dress looks great on the white fabric. Really making it stand out.
