Mrs and Mrs photoshoot

Our Mrs and Mrs photoshoot has got to feature as one of the highlights of 2021

Of all the things we love in our day to day. Working with skilled professionals has got to feature on the top.

We were over the moon when The wedding guru Oskar got in touch and told us about his ideas. Oskar was planning a photoshoot with 2 same-sex female models.

They should have a simple outdoors wedding and picnic on Arthurs Seat.

Oskar asked me to come up with designs bearing in mind that they should be suitable for the theme. I LOVE a brief like that.

We made a sweet little guipure lace dress with sequin detail. Guipure trims were enhancing the cuts of the dress and gave the floral design a sharper look. The trims were also slightly see-through, so we had no lining under the trims to give a slight glimpse of skin. The dress was short and easy to go off-piste in at the same time as being cute and have a lot of wedding details.

The other outfit was a trouser suit. Trouser suits are so fashionable at the moment and this is a little 3 piece. Trousers and corseted bodice in heavy matte satin. Trousers have a zip at the side and a flat front. The bodice is laced up at the back.

We made a skin coloured garment to cover the chest and shoulders so we could attach some Watteau drapes to the back. This would make them like like fixed to the skin.

I really love the final look of the dresses. Both outfits have features of traditional bridal wear. But re-worked in a new way.

A couple of days before the shoot the weather reports looked grim. So we ended up with a lovely shoot in the trendy Sky Bar. And then the sunshine arrived on Arthurs Seat and we had our picnic.
