It’s always exciting to create dresses for weddings in other destinations, so when Michelle came to us for her dress for her New York wedding, we couldn’t wait to get started!
It took two days to travel there in the snow chaos, but Michelle’s New York wedding was wonderful! She had a full-length dress, with a V-shaped neckline and back. The bodice was fitted, with a guipure lace overlay which created three-quarter length sleeves. The skirt of the dress was beautifully simple, it was French silk chiffon, plain and loosely fitting. Therefore, this gave it a soft, flowing feel which looked beautiful on Michelle.
Her hairpiece was by Rene Walrus, who designs and makes beautiful pieces of jewellery in Edinburgh.
When getting married at City Hall in New York, the tradition is that you wait outside and line up until your wedding – how exciting that must have been!

It was a fabulous day and Michelle looked stunning in her stunning dress and smiled all day long. The dress was just perfect for Michelle and Paul scrubbed up well too xx
