Oyster Duchess Satin Dress
Kelly is one of the coolest people around; we were over the moon when she asked us to make her stunning satin wedding dress.
She has much knowledge and interest in vintage fashion; she is a costume design student. This was nerve-wracking as I knew she would have many ideas and a strong vision for the dress. But no need to stress; she couldn’t have been nicer. I loved all her ideas for styles and styling.
The wedding was an incredible affair. It took place at Cambo estate in Fife, and many different entertainment and amazing things were organised.
Kelly went for an amazing rich oyster-coloured duchesse satin for her dress. We made a super-fitted bodice with a deep collar sitting off her shoulders. We made buttons and loops at the back, which was elegantly low, and she had lovely beaded long lace sleeves. The lace had a beautiful scallop detail that lay sitting over her hand.
She had very cool red shoes for her wedding shoes, and the wedding itself was so colourful. It was the perfect day in the sunshine in Scotland, and she looked beautiful.
