Stunning Short Guipure Lace Dress

When Hannah came to see us, she picked one of the lovely dresses in our existing collections. She made some subtle adaptations and made the dress her own.

We created the short wedding dress in detailed Guipure lace embellished with sequins for the lovely bride-to-be. She chose a slightly darker colour for the fabric backing the lace. It worked beautifully and made it more rich looking.

The flared sleeves were ideal for her outdoor ceremony, paired with the flowing fishtail flared hem extending just past the knees.

The back had a lovely keyhole detail with button detail, and the lace wrapped up the neck in a collar style.

The sleeves, hem and collar lace are sheer, the epitome of classic.

We then made a small pure silk single-tier veil in her hair. The pure silk single-tier veil is reminiscent of vintage styles. It was the perfect addition as it did not take away from the dress, instead complimenting it. She accessorised this with beautiful florals and a gentle, slightly pinned wavy hairstyle.

The Wedding

The couple held their ceremony on the picturesque Aberlady nature reserve, the pleasant weather we had been having stayed for the couple and the sun was out, catching all the sequins on Hannah’s dress in the light. The weather worked in their favour as they had a clear day for their guests to walk along the coastal route to their secret spot. The ceremony was informal and ended with the guests and newlyweds heading back to the town hall to celebrate and dance the night away.

We loved every minute of making this beautiful stunning short guipure lace wedding dress for Hannah.
