This stunning bride came to see us with an idea of a jumpsuit for her wedding. We love getting requests for slightly different ideas.
We wanted this bespoke jumpsuit to be super special, and it had to fulfil the requirements of being beautiful and having some traditional “wedding” features and also be practical and nice to wear for a super fun and a proper dance session at the reception.
I feel we fulfilled all the requirements, and I couldn’t be happier about how Claudia looked on the day.
Claudia’s jumpsuit is made in pure silk satin, it has a deep pleated halter neck and a really low back. We then made a superfine silk georgette jacket with long long ties. The jacket attaches with an invisible fastening on the neckline. The long ties go around the body and tie in a soft bow at the back. The jacket has very deep silk satin cuffs with buttons and loops all the way up.
For the dancing, the fine jacket comes off and Claudia then has a pleated silk satin belt to match the halterneck to go round. It has the same button and loop detail as the halterneck and the cuffs on the sleeves of the jacket.
Claudia wears her grandmother’s amazing broach in her hair. We made a pleated hair band of the fabrics of her outfit, and she got her hairdresser to fit the band and the broach on the day.
The venue is the fantastic Cowshed in Crail. Claudia had picked an amazing bunch of suppliers, Gloam to do the flowers and the styling of the place. And we were delighted to once more have beautiful photographs from Claire Fleck Photography.
