Crepe wedding dress with drapes

crepe wedding dress with drapes

It was such a joy working with Grazyna, making her crepe wedding dress with drapes. She had lovely sophisticated and very simple ideas for her wedding dress. We made Grazyna a bespoke slim-cut crepe dress cut with a princess line over the bust. The dress had a deep neckband also made in crepe. She had sheer silk chiffon drapes over her low back.   We made buttons and loops of the dress fabric. Over 100 buttons we attached to the hem. The bride has lived worldwide, and her friends and family came from all over the globe to the wedding. Sadly…

Dark green velvet suit

dark green velvet suit

Dark green velvet suit for a beautiful autumnal wedding. That is precisely what we made for Holly. She and her now husband had planned the most beautiful elopement in the heart of Scotland, and they got all the autumnal cosiness and colours they had hoped for. We made Holly’s trousers. She wanted fitted-leg cropped trousers. We made a suit jacket to match with black satin lapels. The Suit was made in the nicest, closely woven dark green cotton velvet. We used buttons covered in black satin. Holly also had a lovely white shirt made to wear. She had picked a…

Two bridal trouser suits

Two bridal trouser suits

Two bridal trouser suits It was so lovely making these two bespoke bridal outfits for these fabulous brides. We were delighted to be asked to do so. Both brides are personal recommendations from lovely brides we have worked with before, making it even more special. They both wanted trousers for their wedding outfits, and we wanted to make them look great but individual. For Lisa, we made a halter neck bodice with a very delicate Chantilly lace overlay, the neck strap in fine silk chiffon fastening with buttons at the back. With this top, Lisa wore classic cut ivory trousers….

Tartan wedding outfit

tartan wedding outfit

Tartan Wedding outfit Tartan wedding trouser suit with wedding skirt over illusion neckline with lace? Yes, please to all of it. What a fun brief Rebecca gave us when she first came in. She wanted to use her husband-to-be family tartan, the muted MacDuff tartan. We talked, sketched, played around with things, and got to this outfit. It’s a pair of fitted trousers with a side zip and a flat front and back. Then a boned and structured bodice where we cut the tartan on the bias. The chest and shoulders lace attached to the skin-coloured tulle. The tulle creates…

Mrs Ivory and Mrs Emerald

Mrs and Mrs getting married on scottish loch side

We loved working with these two, Mrs Ivory and Mrs Emerald. Their closeness, support and love for each other are apparent to everyone. We had a big task to keep both dresses secret from them. And at the same time, we tried to coordinate the whole look, so they went together. We feel we have achieved this. We made Molly’s bespoke dress in Devore silk organza with a floral design, a strapless bodice, and a long veil with lace edging. Evie’s dress was in lush dark green silk. She had long sleeves with deep cuffs and buttons and a low…

Teal off-the-shoulder wedding dress

teal off the shoulder wedding dress

Teal off-the-shoulder wedding dress This teal off-the-shoulder wedding dress ticks all the boxes for us. It is no secret we LOVE coloured wedding dresses. Here is a gorgeous one we made for Lisa in August. The bespoke dress has a ruched bodice and internal corset with boning and internal lace-up. We made little buttons and loops in the silk georgette. Lisa styled it so perfectly with her red lip and pin-up style hair. The dress looks beautiful with the colours of the beautiful venue, “House for an Art Lover” Lisa did such a fantastic job colour-coordinating all the dresses, flowers…

Black Goth Wedding Dress

Black Wedding Dress

Black goth wedding dress If you have followed my page for more than 3 minutes, you will know I love all colours. We have made a lot of coloured wedding dresses. When I get a new bride, and she comes in and says, like a sideline, wouldn’t it be fun to have a coloured wedding dress? I say to her go home and think about it; make sure that is what you want. But sometimes, I know it is 100% the right choice. When Tricia contacted me about her black dress, I knew it was 100% right for her. She…

Unicorn rainbow wedding dress

Unicorn and Rainbow wedding dress

Unicorn rainbow wedding dress Hannah is such a fun girl. She came to me with a brief of many things that were all a bit unusual for a wedding dress consultation: unicorns and rainbows. But this is what makes my day. It went something like this, “I like rainbows and blossom and tulle and colours.” It took a while to source all the bits and pieces for Hannah’s bespoke dress. We made a full-circle skirt in the unicorn rainbow tulle. The tulle was sitting loose on top of a duchess satin. We had lots of netting under the skirt of…

Millions of pearls

millions of pearls

Millions of pearls Millions of pearls decorated this beautiful wedding dress for Annmarie. We made a stunning bodice with the embellishment of all the tiny little pearls on a satin fabric. You may not know when we work in heavily embellished fabrics, you may not know, but we need to strip the material entirely of all the embellishment on all seams and then add them again to cover the seam. Quite a bit of work goes into that, as you can imagine. The skirt was a Duchesse satin skirt with a tulle overlay creating a beautiful train at the back….

Halter neck beaded lace dress

Halter neck beaded lace dress This was such a lovely request for a bespoke dress. Laura was looking for a halter neck dress with a really low back and made in beaded lace. There are always challenges when you work in lace because you want to love the lace design and the edgings of the lace need to work with the design as well. This was the perfect place. And we bought every single piece in the country. We needed extra lace to overlay the lace so the seams would be invisible. We made a fitted satin dress. Then fitted…
