Zibeline and Chantilly for beautiful Spring Wedding

Zibeline and Chantilly lace skirt, a beautiful combination for Ruth’s wedding dress Not many people nows of Zibeline fabric yet, so beautiful. It is very heavy and textured and makes a lovely contrast to the very fine and delicate Chantilly lace.  Ruth chooses to have a bespoke wedding made by us.  She decided that after meetings with discussions about the designs and materials. Ruth tried our collection dresses on and used them as inspiration. Ruth liked experimenting with skirt shapes and styles. The bride’s Mum and sister came to all the fittings. It was a really fun process, where everybody had…

Green Spring Silk Lace Wedding Dress

What an excitement to get asked to make this green silk lace wedding dress for Maxine. Green silk and lace Wedding Dress When she came to see me she pretty much had her whole wedding organised, apart from her dress. Maxine had a vision in green, but nothing set in stone. She wanted colour texture and not the usual wedding dress, she wanted to be able to dance and move and and feel fab and flatter her shape. So with all of that taken into account, we looked at a lot of materials and green colours and vintage style laces….

Fishtail wedding dress in crepe and lace

Fishtail wedding dress was Kirsty’s chosen silhouette for her bespoke wedding dress. Kirsty had tried a lot of dresses on, but none was quite right for her. We put all the ideas she had together and then started to source the crepe and other materials to achieve the look she wanted. Heavy crepe fishtail wedding dress and a bespoke veil to match Heavy crepe became the fabric choice for the dress. Then she had a rich satin for a deep belt on the dress. We found a lovely embroidered tulle with gold accent colour and pearl and sequin embroidery. Her…

Harris Tweed Wedding Dress

Harris Tweed Wedding dress with Chantilly lace and silk in red colour. What else could a bride called Rot for middle name wear for her wedding on Luskentyre beach? The Red Wedding, in tweed from Harris, silk and lace. Nadin’s dress was a bespoke wedding dress. The bodice was made in a red and burgundy harris tweed, we cut it on the bias. I thought it suited Nadins hourglass shape much better than the rigid shapes of the check. To that, we added lovely red Chantilly lace sleeves. The skirt was red shot with black Orissa silk, pleated to the bodice…

Simple lace wedding dress

Elizabeth had a gorgeous simple lace wedding dress. Elizabeth had a simple lace wedding dress, and although it was simple it was stunning. Sea pearl coloured silk backed the dress, and the cool colours of the lace and the sea pearl really suited her skin tone. The dress had a simple silhouette, being fitted at the top with a straight skirt. It was full length, to just above the ankles and also had a small slit in the back. The bodice had a high neck, high back and long lace sleeves; this gave it a beautiful, elegant look. Their wedding…

Beautiful Tenerife destination wedding

Destination weddings are always exciting, so when Hazel mentioned her wedding was in Tenerife, we knew it would be great fun to make her dress! Hazel’s husband is from Tenerife, and so for their wedding, they decided to jet out to Tenerife. It was beautiful, and their family all flew out to have a lovely few days in the sunshine for their wedding. Hazel’s “dress” wasn’t quite a dress – she has two skirts and a bodice which she mixed and matched! This was a perfect idea for Tenerife, as it meant she could have the long, more traditional style…
